By adding a gelling agent (such as aerogel silica) to the sulfuric acid electrolyte, the liquid sulfuric acid electrolyte is transformed into a gel state, thereby achieving comprehensive improvements in safety, energy storage capacity, discharge performance and service life compared to ordinary lead-acid batteries.
